Criselda Romero, born in the greater Houston area, was raised in the Alief and Sharpstown neighborhoods of the new Houston City Council District J. She is a proud product Southwest Houston's public schools – she attended Jane Long Middle School, Robert E. Lee High School, and graduated from Sharpstown High School. It was at Sharpstown High School that Criselda discovered her passion for public service. That passion motivated her to obtain a degree in Political Science from the University of Houston-Downtown.
